Andy Holden - Art Now Exhibition

I recently went to see Andy Holden's installation piece, which is currently exhibiting in the Tate Britain as part of the Art Now programme. Compromising of a large knitted boulder, 'The Pyramid Piece' acts as a means of representing, and reconciling the guilt of stealing a rock from the Great Pyramid of Cheops in Giza as a child. It's pretty impressive seeing it up close, you can see a lot of work went into producing it. I did my A-levels with the guy, and then went on to do Art Foundation with him, so it's great to see he's doing well for himself.

Andy Holden Sculpture, titled Beer bottle Stalagmite

I had my birthday recently and Rhi bought me a piece of his work, titled 'Beer bottle Stalagmite' (2008-10) the materials used are plaster and emulsion paint on beer-bottle. Here is my personal edition #283
