Last week i had the opportunity to go to the Design Museum to an event hosted by Creative Review. Called Creative Review Tweetup, it was a way of thanking all of it's loyal twitter supporters for making it become one of the most popular Twitter accounts in British publishing.
Everyone attending the event was invited to bring along a piece of personal work which would get hung inside an exhibition space along with your twitter user name. So i quickly rustled up a twitter 'Fail Whale' rendered as a Victorian styled etching. When i get more time i'll put in a proper background and some more detail, but all in all it looked pretty cool.
Then after a couple of drinks at the bar we headed upstairs where we were given with a free bag of assorted Lego bricks. We were then instructed to set about building our own architectural mini-installations, which at the end were all added together to create a mini Lego micro-village.
All in all it was a great night and got to meet some new faces, many thanks to the companies who helped make the event happen, i'm particularly chuffed with my Creative Review embossed moleskine. If you want to see more photos of the event i've set up a Flickr pool here.
